At the crack of dawn for so it seemslj each Monday, Wrednesday, and Friday, a troupe of half-awake singing enthusiasts gather under the direction of Mrs. Betty Jo Wagner to exercise their gifted vocal cords. Swarthmore High School has good rea- son to be proud of the colorful, pretty girls who parade in front of Garnet Band. The capable and industrious head majorette, Jackie Farris, led the majorettes and flag twirlers in many varied and original rou- tines. Patsy Mcflonigle, captain of the color- guard, not only kept her girls in step, but introduced some new precisioned drills which could hc seen at football half-time. Q 1 ' f x 1- 1 it .Z 1 -. -E.
