Early in the year, Cabinet sponsored a very successful A. A. Ticket drive. Alterations were made in the athletic award seystem. During the football season, Swarth- more buttons and pennants were sold. Cabinet spon- sored several successful football and basketball dances. The Honor System and its various facets were continuously kept before the students' attention by Cabinets conscientious leaders. Throughout the year, Cabinet committees also did an important job. Confusion in both the cafeteria and the parking lot was mitigated. Because of the great interest that was aroused by the Cabinet Teaching Program, the school government was actively sup- ported by the students. As always the band entertained the spectators during halftime at the football games. ane MacAlpines twirling with fire was this year s novelty. At the Cultural Olympics the band received merits for marching and for fine musical arrangements. Some of its members later went on to play in district and state bands. The annual Spring Concert was the highlight of the year. The band concluded its season with Memorial Day and College Alumni Day parades. CU16! .SQCLHCJCLPJ5 STUDENT-FACULTY COMMITTEE Problems which are pertinent to both the faculty and the student body are referred to the Student-Faculty Committee. Recommen- dations for their solution are sent to other school organizations. This year, the com- mittee has considered the problems of dress standards and has effected improvements in the assembly seating procedure. lst row: Mrs. Becker, John Conard, Mr. Wat- kins, Peggy Schumacher, Mr. Yocum, Jean Goff, Miss Allen. 2nd row: Barbara Bloom, Roger Zensen. 4- X .113 1 ' ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE The Assembly Committee has tried to pre- sent a variety of programs with full student participation. The committee is headed by Mrs. Mathews and is composed of repre- sentatives from various activities, the sopho- more class, and the faculty. Realizing that both form the core of our school life, all the members have worked closely with Cabinet Teaching and other Cabinet committees to increase student interest.
