Go to meet the ball, field it, and drive! These directions could often be heard on the hockey held, as Miss Allen instructed girls in stick work and in other techniques. The team got off to an excellent start. Captain Lois Storlazzi, displaying spirited leadership, led the team to victories over the first four teams they met: Springfield C3-lj, Haverford fi-lj, Xlifesttown C1-Oj, Ridley Township C2-OJ. The Media game was tied one to one, Even when they dropped the last two games to Lansdowne C1-BJ and Upper Darby C2-Bj, the girls showed good sportsmanship. At Lois' party after the Lansdowne game, Mary Lou Pierce was elected next year's captain.
