A S D I C Eek! a moving paramecium! foot stools, and brandishing trowel-like instruments, probably for war. We are considerably reassured, however, to find that these individuals are only having a shop class. Upon reentering the main building, we are almost run down by a crowd of youths and maidens racing to Algebra Il class. There, a familiar figure seems to be instructing them in the use of the binomial quadratic surcl. Suddenly the smell of formaldehyde assails our nostrils. Upon closer inspection we find students in the biology laboratory deeply engrossed in the vast social implications of the sex life of Tillandsia Usneoides. Shocked, we leave. Crossing the clearing we find ourselves in a long hall where Mrs. M. is chuckling gleefully at the obvious discomfort of her pupils. The latter have just been informed that none of them are proficient enough in gram- mar to graduate. Such strange customs! The bell rings-the natives rush out and a new group takes their place. The class now in session is known as Religious Seminar. The tribal elder, distinguished by the brightly colored silk neckpiece which he proudly wears, leads the group in the discussion of Monistic Pantheism and its effect on even more primitive religions. YVe are inexplicably over- come by a desire for sleep in this class and decide to leave in favor of the more peaceful library. Our dream of rest is suddenly shattered when we pass an irate Mrs. Boulter ruthlessly tracking down the lowest of all creaturesvhe who take out a reference book and does not return it in time. We watch this process with great fascination, but are jolted back into reality by the sound of our ship's bell. Vie had become so absorbed in observing the strange inhabitants of this jungle Utopia. that we had almost forgotten our vessel. Now, fearing that we might be left forever among these backward people, we rush to take our leave. As our ship sinks slowly in the West, we bid adieu to this isle ol' mystery and enchantment, and, secure in the knowledge that we will never return, we heap our blessings upon it, together with the hope that they will continue their native traditions for many years.
