The loss of Cheyney, Spaulding and Stabler left a hole that could not be filled by the remaining members of the team. Captain Ave Har- rington continued his fine winning form, always leading the team, and winning three dual meets. Behind him, George Hastings, whose meteoric rise to star- dom was the feature of the year, Chuck Loucks, and newcomers Mike Dukakis, John Strauss and Charlie Sullivan were the usual scorers. The team wound up with a won two, lost four record, beating Lafayette and F M. Captain Steve Clark along with a vastly improved Joe Carroll and husding George Place were the bright lights and were complimented by a whole array of fine ball-players including Art Lewis, Andy Lewis, Stu Lohr, Tom Jones, John Smucker, Phile Swayne, Sediono Serjo and LI. O. Atuanya. The Dunnmen started things off on the right foot by defeating an Alumni team loaded with great talent. The Garnet then defeated a strong Penn team 3-1, in the second contest, and rolled on to victories over Rutgers, Prince ton, Unrinus, Stevens and Lehigh. The Lehigh game was probably the high spot of the season as the squad played inspired ball and came from a .3-1 deficit to down the Engi- neers 4-3. The injury suffered by George Place in the Stevens game proved to be of great importance in the late season decline of the team. JUNIOR VARSITY: Back row, kjt (o riciht . . . Hartzell . . .
