FOREWORD Keminiscing, we have discovered a peculiar heart-throb that accotjipanies thoughts oj old friendships, of old meeting- places, of anything connected ivith those of our college days that have passed. And in every case, as these recollections of Swarthmore days and Sivarthmore scenes grow more faint, they become more dear to us. With this thought always in mind, the Staff of the igiO Halcyon has set out to create a book that will be character- istic of our college, one that will always bring back memories of our days here.
