CLASS HISTORY In the early days of September of 1950, we started to school. The first day of school was as our parents had expected: a few tears, small squabbles, and a replica of many days to come. As we mastered the first eight years of our lives in elementary school we felt that high school would be a great advancement. Then without quite realizing it, we had become freshmen. This year consisted mainly of meeting our fellow classmates and finding our way around at Swain High. The highlight of our sophomore year was a party given for the student teachers. As Sophomores, we had a greater sense of belonging to Swain High. The next year we finally became Juniors with our work laid out for us: Junior-Senior Prom and U.S. History. At last came our big year, the time we had always been looking forward to since beginning school. Our Washington Trip, Senior Play, and our Senior Prom are great events but graduation is looked forward to as the greatest event of all. Graduation is not the end but only the beginning of our future. Respectfully Submitted, Jean Casada Carol Roberts 30
