Winning was important but not the only means to an end. Skills of the team were per- fected throughout the season F with the help of Coach Siska. '39 Practices were hard and ex- hausting. Memories were the winning game against Shepherd Hillg the victory against ' Bartlett and the winning goals of Erin Lombardi-and Kim Jarvis. She engoyed participating in the extra-curricular activities related to the sports programs at S.H.S. and to the yearbook A conscientious and pleasant young lady, Silke made many friends here She has been able to go on the field trips, visit Boston and New York Because of Silke, the students have become more aware of themselves and their life style, being able to make comparisons with Silke. School, she finds, is easier and the emphasis is placed on subject areas other than what she was accustomed to in Germany.
