Spence, Superintendent Before the school year opened the school committee appointed Mr. Gordon J. Spence superintendent - elementary coor- dinator. ln this capacity Mr. Spence has spent numerous hours working together with administration, faculty, and students to bring about closer ties. Devotion to edu- cation has been the guide which has motiv- ated him to Work so diligently on the plans for the new elementary school. The con- I Mr. Spence and Mr. Grant prepare school budget struction of this building will then make possible a normal school day for the high school, an end to double sessions. This ad- ministration has encouraged teachers to visit other schools and lea.rn of new pro- grams being fostered by more progressive school systems. Concern for the students and their place in society has resulted in the sponsoring of a drug workshop, for both faculty and students.
