SUTTON NIPPED BY 'S3 CHAMPS Coach Isernhagen said of this year's team, “They have good attitudes. But, unfortunately, the team needs some wins. In his third year after returning to the head coaching position, Mr. Isernhagen feels the team lacks size. The offense, however, is really accurate and the team speed is top-notch. Even though their defense needs improvement, they are working extra hard to get better. The two games that the team should have won were Stromsburg and Henderson. The Mustangs had them beat in the 4th quarter, 23-17. But Henderson came back to win by only 3 points. Top to Bottom: Coach Isernhagen and Coach Gowen cheer the team on. Down goes number 22. MUSTANGS ON THE GO Sutton had high hopes this year. With the win against Blue Hill last year, they were hoping to win at least two games this season. But, fumbles and injuries have plagued Sutton. Gary Jones broke his hand and Paul Ulmer dislocated a finger. Steve Mosley was taken from the Clay Center Reserves game with a broken shoulder. But Paul Ulmer wasn’t out for the season. With half the season unplayed perhaps the Mustangs will get it all together. “Sutton’s defense and offense are improving’’, said Coach Isernhagen. With a win against Sandy Creek, the team is on the go.
