We elected Miss Schlegel and Miss Paasch, sponsors, Lester Unterseher, presidentg Morris Kohler, vice-presidentg Doris Brust, report- er and secretaryg Iona Spielman, treasurer, Dorothy Oates and Iohn Heinz, yell leaders. An early event was a hamburger fry October 10, 1934, at Carney's pasture. From the amount of hamburger consumed it was evident that everyone had a good time. On December 7, 1934, we had a theater party followed by a walile . p . P is a fitting close to 1 busy year we enjoyed the Senior Class Play Safety First 'I May 10' the Iunior-Senior Banquet May 11' Sneak Day' Baccalaureate May 19' Class Day May 21' and Commencement May 23. These four important years of our life have come to a close and it is with pleisure that we are able to look back over the past but with regret that we leave our cl issmates So as each goes his different wry may he strive for the better things in life ind keep his go rl hlgh Doris Brust lass Prophecy Contznued :om Page 8 The picture faded as Copper Peterson handed the drlver a ticket and she retorted in bad French You can t do that to me For diversion we switched the scene to Minneapolis where the football classic of the se lson was in progress Elmer Nuss announcer for the Spaggs Spielman Bro ldcastlng Company reported that the coach for Nebraska was Morris Kohler and thrt the Minnesota coach was Lester Unterseher and that both teams used the flmous Manley Lundm shift The brilliant plays executed by these two teams reminded us of the Sutton Edgar tilt in 1934 and the dinner hour arrived before we could tear ourselves away from this fascinating conflict At Washington D C in the National Umcameral Legislature presided over by Edwin Wach and dictated to by the silver tongued orator Iohn Idt a special session was considering the pleas of Secy of Education Doris Peterson and Secy of Interior Mary Matteson for old age teachers pensions for Misses Kucera and Hank and Messrs Lehman and Kroeger In a fashionable Washrngton Hotel Alverdl Goesch and Rexine Weber were giving a dinner for Eleanor Roemmlch of I Love a Little Cottage fame and now a headlined star ln Philadelphia Sinobia Schwarz was at grand opera rehearsal and in New York Avona Heinz was preparing for a concert tour Also in New York s Madison Square Garden we saw Leland Iohnson receiving the Worlds Champion Wrestl ing Belt shocked by the sight of Miss Paasch at the Carlton Club of Panama in the com panv of a prominent doctor of the day This was too much and with words of satrsf lction for the new order we switched off the controls Jack Lacy and Paul Burough 1935 1101 su er 56 , . , sl 7 5 3 7 7 7 9 9 3 1. .
