L 61 e ica fion We, the Annual Staff of the Gold and White of Sutter Union High School, would like to dedicate our 1964- 1965 annual to the new school-in the hope that it will provide inspiration to the future student bodies as it has to the present student body, in keeping up school spirit and pride in our school. EDITOR Mr. Adamski Left to rightg Ellen Bumgarner, Assistant Editox-5 Patricia Dihel, Editor. It has been a privilege to serve as editor of the 1964-65 Gold and White. We, the staff, have worked very hard to produce the 1964-65 Gold and White, and we sincerely hope that you, the students , will appreciate all of our hard work. We have worked very hard to produce a good 1964-65 Gold and White that will remind you of your first year at our new school. Sincerely , Patricia Dihel Adminisfrafivn f, t .e ,fl ,.., ,Mn ,Anson Dobson. Princzjual Education is a privilege, however, it is also stated as the right of every individual. Abuses of the right to attend our public schools is one of our major social problems. The home, community, and school must work as a team to mold the image of our future citizens. Without the proper training in the home and a healthy com- munity atmosphere, the task assigned to the schools will not be a successful venture. We who are dedicated to the educational process have been endeavoring to offer an interesting and purposeful program by broadening the curriculum , both college preparatory and vocational, however, the schools alone are incapable of molding successful and acceptable members for tomorrow's society. ,Mn Wayne Gadberry, Was-Primiual Congratulations, graduating Seniors, you have just completed another phase of your many phased life. From this point on, most of you will pursue one of four general areas, some of you will, continue your education in college, some will marry, some will enter the labor market, and others will enlist in the Armed Service. But, regardless of the area that each of you chose to pursue, your success will depend to a great degree on your persistency, your integrity, your compassion for others , and faith in yourself. I hope that your high school experience will help your life to be a happy and successful one. My best wishes to each of you. 4 Board of Crustces LEFT TO RIGHT: William 1-lankins, Nick Orr, Albert L1-IIOHIRSSD, Clerl-cg Walter Ectl, Vice Presidentg Lee DeWitt, Prcsident. Your drive, determination, and dedication are the qualities that made it possible for the team to improve from a weak team at the beginning of the season to an outstanding team at the end of the season. There is one thingl hope you remember if nothing else thatl have told you -- that the harder you have to work to achieve something the more value it has to you. Things that you achieve with little effort have little value. I hope all of you remember the qualities that it took for this year's team to be successful and apply them to your own life, because if you do, I'm confident that you will be successful. To the seniors that will not be with us next year, I wish the best of luck. Remember our team motto Hard Work and Success go Hand and Hand.
