We were soon all acquainTed and very good Triends. Carnival Time came and alThough we had To borrow money Trom The sTudenT body, we made more Than enough To pay iT back. Thus was born The Treasury OT The class OT TOrTy-Tive. On May 29Th school was ouT and we had behind us our TirsT year OT l-ligh School insTrucTion. On SepTember 28, l942, we again reTurned To old SuTTer l-lighg There were less OT us buT we were sTill as lively as ever. We consider This year To have been one OT our mosT successTul. This Time we goT To iniTiaTe The Freshmen, since we had memories OT The year beTore. We made a good proTiT in The carnival on The concessions which we had charge OT. In April we gave one OT The mOsT successTul dances OT The year, The Flower Fling . The gym was decoraTed wiTh beauTiTul roses OT all kinds and colors. School sTarTed CcTober 4, I943 This year due To The laTe harvesTing OT The crops and and The drasTic need OT The Tarmers Tor help To geT Them in. This year There were less Taces yeT To counT. There were some OT our classmaTes in The Armed Forces and we were really proud To have Them represenT us. This year we had Two main sources OT income: The Carnival and The Junior Magazine Sales. We Ordered our class rings and were we proud To wear Them when They came! This year we gave our TirsT Tormal dance. The Junior Prom which was held on May nineTeenTh. Gur SainT PaTrick's dance was given on March I7Th, wiTh Ireland as The Theme. The gym was decoraTed in ye good ole lr--r-r-ish green . ATTer Three monThs OT hard work in The Tields and The canneries, we were glad To come back To good old S.U.l-l.S. To resume our sTudies5 This Time wiTh almosT a compleTe new TaculTy. We soon Tound ouT ThaT we had a wonderTul TaculTy who were ready To help us geT OTT To a good sTarT on The road OT liTe. This year our class was down To TwenTy-six sTudenTs and nOT all OT Them could be aT home To receive Their diplomas. BUT we sTill had enough vim and vigor To show The resT OT The classes The way To go. The carnival was again very successTul. The seniors looked Torward To February 9Th, as iT was our cuT day: we Tinally Tound enough gas To Take a Trip To The snow-line. Everyone's hearT was conTenTed aTTer a big day in The snow. On June 8, I945, we bid Tarewell To our class- maTes and Triends, wishing everyone The besT OT luck in The TuTure.
