6 Administration Congratulations to the Seniors of 1973 You have crossed a milestone of your life; you are now an alumnus of the Sutherland High School. May the preparation received here, provide you with the necessary tools for your chosen pursuits. Your efforts as individuals and as a class are much appreciated by not only those of us associated with you as students, but by your parents and community as well. I wish all of you much success and happi- ness as you journey along life's highway. Sincerely, Vernon Thomsen If an athletic team wishes to have a win- ning season, they must work and train until they work as a unit. Each member of the team must be willing to sacrifice some per- sonal pleasure for the benefit of the team. The community in which you will live is very similar to an athletic team. If the com- munity is to grow and prosper, everyone in the community must be willing to sacrifice some personal pleasures for the benefit of the com- munity. As you leave school and join the commun- ity at large, each of you must decide whether you will join the community team or stand on the side lines. Sincerely, Wayne Ferguson Congratulations, Class of '73 We here at Sutherland Public School are proud to have been a part of your education. We hope you have been inspired to go on to new and more advanced areas of learning. We are confident that you will become good citizens of your community and nation. Sincerely, Charles D. Grow
