DEDICATION To the seniors of 1969, the Loeschers will remain a symbol of the pride and fulfillment we have attained throughout our years at Sutherland High. Through their guidance and interest in us as individuals, they have improved us both academically and socially. Mr. Loescher has inspired new goals and spirit to the field of athletics. Through him we learned that sports are not entirely a game of skill, but a desire from within. He has been a firm and reliable source of knowledge and a principal of distinction. Be it the long and memorable ordeal of prom or the presentation of literature, Mrs. Loescher has gained our admiration and respect. As our class sponsor for the last two years, she has diligently sought to make our endeavors enjoyable as well as profitable. Together, with laughter and persistence, the Loeschers have worked to accomp- lish the necessary and memorable elements vital to the future of young adults. Therefore, as a token of our appreciation and esteem, the class of 69” dedicates this annual to a couple who will always remain a part of us - Mr. and Mrs. Byron Loescher. ROLL OF HONOR special recognition this year to- SUPERINTENDENT LA VERNE ROB- ERTSON who has been with the Sutherland school system for five years. He served as principal and science teacher for two years be- fore being our superintendent. He has accepted another position at Julesburg, Colorado. We regret that Mr. Robertson is leaving us and wish him success in his new position. We want to ex- press our gratitude for the superb leadership he has given us. He has given his time unselfishly, and has established a harmonious re- lationship among the students, teachers, school board, and the community. NU REGENT’S GRANT KENT BEVERIDGE ranked among the top 101 scholars in a field of 4,228 high school seniors who took the 1969 Scho- lastic Aptitude Test and competed for the University of Nebraska Regent's Scholarship.
