“v7 year’s Cncf” Junior Class Prophecy given by Roxann McCune Senior Class History given by Patty Gill At Honor Night members of the Inter-High Scho- lastic team were introduced. Those honored were: Jeanie Kennedy for receiving first in Clothing and Textiles, David Grow for receiving second in Gen- eral Biology, Nola Kinnaman for fourth in Foods and tenth in World History, Kent Swedberg for sixth in Advanced Woodworking, and Dixie Thompson for receiving seventh in Home He. (Foods); Barbara Van- arsdall received a third in extemporaneous speaking. Inter-High Day is held every year at Kearney State and Chadron State in March. Twenty-five schools competed at Chadron in Class III. Sutherland tied for fourth place. Connie Seifer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Seifer was named Valedictorian at the Commencement Exercises held at the high school auditorium Wednesday evening, May 17. Salutatorian was Peggy Jean Stewart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gene Stewart. Rick Keuter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Keuter was named Honor Student. The All-around Girl and Boy named by the Faculty were Connie and Rick. Jeanie Kennedy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Kennedy received the Daughter of the American Re- volution Citizen Award; David Kendall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kendall, the Community Award Scholar- ship presented by the Chamber of Commerce, American Legion, and Lions Club; Marcia Crosby was named alternate of the Lincoln County Communities Education Association Scholarship; and Connie Seifer receiv- ed a scholarship to North Platte Junior College. Honor iy t “Hlduanciny ran tier' Honor student medals were presented to Mary Jane Stewart, freshman; Kent Beveridge, sopho- more; and Margaret Borron, junior for the high- est scholastic average of their class this year. Mr. Loescher and Mr. Broberg presented the let termen for football, basketball, and track. Terry Hafer awarded letters to members of the volleyball and golf team. Senior lettermen and student managers:' Ruben Vega, Dennis Thompson, Kelly Moore, Rick Keuter, David Kendall, Mike Kelly, Doug Evans, and Andy Gonzales. Mr. Kinner presents an award to Ronnie Shuler for receiving a one rating for Oral Interpretation at the Fine Arts Festival in Lincoln. Mr. Kinner awarded the best actress award to Barbara Vanarsdall; the best actor award to Mike Kelly; the American Legion Citizenship medal to Connie Seifer; and the poetry award to David Grow. Mrs. Crosby awarded the pep club medal and homemaker award to Jeanie Kennedy. She also presented the librarian certificates.
