KURTIS W. BOWDEN Colorado State Teachers College Kearney State Teachers College M.A. Degree I Principal’s Message Congratulations to the Sutherland Seniors of 1966. A high school diploma does not guarantee success in your chosen field. It will however, work for you provided you will let it. This diploma can be used as a plateau from which higher education can be obtained; it can be used as a basis for technical and vocational training; it can be used in your every-day lives to overcome obstacles many times taken for granted by those observing; it can be used to mold you into a productive, useful citizen of your town, state and country; most important, it can be used...only by YOU! Use it well. Superintendent’s Message Congratulations to the class of 1966. Graduation is a great event in your lives, and I’m sure each of you will have happy memories of your school days in Sutherland. A goal, desire, will to succeed, and faith have a lot to do with a person's success in life. I know this class has what it takes to be suc- cessful. Best of everything to all of you! Sincerely, Kurtis W. Bowden LAVERNE ROBERTSON B.S., Kearney State College Graduate work at University of Colorado and University of Idaho.
