COLORS Silver and Green MOTTO The path to success is wide enough for all FLOWER Rose '24 iCt tuut 7e4t£UH€Ht We, the Class of 1960, being of sound mind and body, do hereby make the following bequests: I, Robert Moore, being a staunch attender of school have wept many times while writing my will, this is because of my deep and emotional love for school. And upon my departure down the pathway of S. H. S. that I have so joyfully tread for over half my life, I shall will my courteous ability, that only we Seniors have, to help the teach- ers with their daily chores, to die underclassmen who don't respect their elders. I, Vergil Nelson, will my ability to not study physics to David Kellie, since he studies often diligently into the nights in an effort to grasp die meaning of die physical laws. I, Roger Faling, being of weak mind and sound body, will my ability to get good grades in English to Linda Broge because everyone knows that she doesn’t get good grades. I also will my nickname to anyone who wants it. I, Pattie Sleeth, will my dark eyebrows to Evelyn Rotert, and my ability to get along with Bill Houser to his sister, LaVone. I, Patricia Glaze, will my ability to get a boyfriend and keep him to Virginia Ken- nedy, since she has so much difficulty in getting dates. I, Karen Marrs, will my ability to flirt with Mr. Marrs in shorthand class to Linda Broge, since she always fails. I will my ability to goof off in volleyball to Carolyn Crosby, since she is such a shy, reserved girl. 1, Dale Dike, will my football ability to Jim Holms and ability to get A’s in Amer- ican Government to Dennis Beeson. I, Sally Munoz, will my three dear brothers to whoever wants them. I, Jayne White, being of weak mind and little else, do hereby will my twin, Kath- leen, to Dick Bowden, as it looks like he'll get her anyway, and I will my ability to write lefthanded to Mr. Gascoyne so that a few people can read his writing. 1, Pat Thomsen, will my ability to write shorthand to Linda Broge, since she can't write it, and I will my ability to get along with Mr. Marrs in shorthand class to anyone who wants it. 1, Bill Houser, will my ability to catch women to David Kellie, and my ability to get along with cops to Gary Morris. I, Pam Case, will my curly hair to Geri Leonhardt so she won't have to pin hers up every night. I, Norma Dickerson, will my height to my sidekick, Karen Marrs, and my ability to get along with Mr. Marrs to Linda Broge, so she won't have to do so much browning. I, James Eshleman, will my ability to stay away from girls to Jim Holms because he has so many girl friends. I, Catherine Brownell, will my ability to get along with Mr. Marrs to Linda Broge so she won't have to stay after class to brown him up, and I will my large handwriting to Mr. Gascoyne so his writing can be seen and read. I, Carolyn Shaw, will my long drive to school every morning to anyone who really wants it, and I will my ability to keep a messy locker to those who keep spic and span ones. I, Jean Goedert, will my ability to drive a car to Janice Binegar so she can become an expert driver. I also will my ability to get excited to Janet Sandberg since she always remains so calm. I, Dick Bowden, will my ability to get from room to room between classes without getting trampled to my little brother Donny as I think he will need it. And I will my physics teacher to anyone who will take him. I, Linda Godeker, will my plumpness to Ivan Dike because he needs the weight so badly. I, Joan Kelly, will my blond hair to Rodney Meyen and Donny Funk so they won't have to bleach theirs again. I, Diane Coker, will my beautiful handwriting which approaches perfection to Doris Jean Reicks, since her penmanship is nothing more nor less than a nondescript scrawl. I, Jeanne Binegar, will my ability to have no special ability to any one who has many abilities. I, Robert Quimby, will my ability to get along with the English teacher to Gary Morris, and my ability to get ribbons at contests I will to Sandy Arnold because he never wins any. I, Marilyn Moore, being of fairly sound mind and body, do hereby will my single status to Rebecca Jayne White because she isn't planning on getting married for years and years. I also will my ability to pass notes in American Government to anyone who can wrangle a seat in the back row. I, Kathleen White, will my ability to tell me from Jayne to Mr. Bowden so he won’t get a kink in his neck looking for Jayne's mole. To Dennis Beeson, I will my good grades since I realize that school is hard for him. I, Judy Wooden, will my shapely bow-legs to Janice Binegar because hers are so straight and unshapely. I, Diane Sandberg, will my french roll to Jim Holmstedt as he has always wanted one. I, Sam White, being of strong character and bad breath, do hereby and heretofore will my boldness to Rodney Meyen, so he will ask more than one girl for a date after the first one turns him down, and my ability to get good grades in typing to John Col- burn so he will be eligible to play basketball. DICK BOWDEN - Sutherland has grown and now has an eleven-man football team. Dick, still bothered by a back injury, is taken care of by his favorite nurse, Kathleen, and together they have raised a football team. PAM CASE - Now known as Mrs. L. Eugene Evans, Pam and L. Eugene are the proud owners and parents of a lumberyard - Oh, yes! and also five kids. NORMA DICKERSON - Still looking for a husband her size, Norma is working as a private secretary for the F. B. I. In her spare time she thumbs through die criminal file looking for her ideal mate. DALE DIKE - Owner of a fruit farm in Georgia, eats peaches and cream for breakfast and as a snack polishes off a bushel of peaches a day. Why is his business failing? ROGER FALING - Being mechanically-minded, Roger invented a vehicle for the Navy which climbs mountains. PAT GLAZE - Now has a collection of diamond tings which she started in high school. Of course, they were all given to her by her wealthy husband, Gerald Weir. Ten years hence, the crystal ball reveals that: JEAN GOEDERT - A U. S. Army nurse, is wacky about a certain redheaded wheat farmer. LINDA GODEKER - After finishing four years of college, has moved to Hershey where she is teaching home ec. Why Hershey, Linda? BILL HOUSER - Is now President of the National chain of IGA stores. His private secre- tary is the former Miss Patricia Sleeth. Being a cute spinster, we feel she won’t have much trouble. BOB MOORE - Now known as R. J. Red Moore the famous artist, just completed building an art museum big enough to hold all his paintings. Right now he is confronted with his toughest project painting portraits of his daughters. SALLY MUNOZ - One of the quietest members of our class, has become well-known. She is a member of the U. S. Olympic volleyball team. Keep up the good work, Sally. VERGIL NELSON - Went to Montana to study science and ended up owning one of the largest cattle ranches in the state. He also has four little buckaroos. ROBERT QUIMBY - Now owns one of the largest meat stores in Sutherland. Robert is becoming rather beefy himself. He still enjoys his old hobby - chasing girls. CAROLYN SHAW - Has opened new frontiers as a teacher. She rides a pinto horse to class in New York City. PATTIE SLEETH - Is a part-time model. When she isn't modeling, she takes care of her redheaded kids. PAT THOMSEN - Starting as a secretary, typed her way to fame. She is now a world famous author of comic books. They have 2 sets of twin boys whose names are Richard I, Richard II, Dick Jr., and Dick Jr. Jr. SAM WHITE - Ten years from now, wonders what happened to all his bachelor friends and while he tries to devote all his time to being a coach, he can't quite forget all the mysterious wonders of romance and hence he is beginning his slow and gruesome down- fall of success. Why don't you get married, Sam?? JUDY WOODEN - Has changed her last name. Her husband is best known for uniting the Safeway and Conoco industries.
