Se tayi ‘P'tofeAeccf Ten years have passed since a truly fine class has graduated, so let's look around and see what the Seniors of 1957 are doing. SHIRLEY FLEECS - Well, here’s Shirley with her four little prunes and one big goon. She's now living on a farm in the great little city of O'Fallons (It finally got on the map). JACK COLBURN - Jack opened a bar in Sutherland and he calls it Jack's Little Bird Bar. He was such a success. Ole had to sell out. ROSALIE THOMPSON - Rose married Jim and she has some little Thurbers running around now. On the side, she sings for weddings, funerals, and other occasions. This way, she saves a little money for her Dream House. LARRY HILTON - The girls have started a project, To Marry Larry, ” but so far no one has succeeded. He is the nation's top crooner and has money, money, money. ALVIN McVAY - Alvin served his time in the Navy and decided he’d better get out while he could. Now he owns and manages Baynes Milk Dairy” (through relationship). JOANNE EARNEY - Joanne started her career in her Senior year and is now very famous. She won the Indianapolis Speedway Race in her little Ford; now, she plans to go abroad for a few months to race. DAVE HUGHES - Davie now owns the largest fireworks company in the United States. Just for the fun of it, he blows it up every Fourth of July (His psychiatrist is worried). GARRY ADEN - Gary’s life ambition has finally been realized, he got on tne panel TV Show, The Quiz Kids. ” (In his spare time, he tests Soundproof Rooms.) PAULINA CAMPOS - Paulina is the one that went far in our class, she took over Ein- stein's job and is in great demand all over the world. DAN KELLY - Dan’s part in the Junior Class Play went to his head, so he went to Holly- wood to try his luck. He took over the long-awaited part of Rudolph Valentino. MARY HAUGLAND - Mary has always loved to be a critic, so in these past ten years she put Hedda Hopper out of business and now has world-wide fame. GARY FUNK - Gary has now taken over the spotlight from Elvis Presley and has been currently seen on the Ed Sullivan Jr. Show. SHARON DANIELSON - Sharon started her collection ten years ago and now people come from miles around to see her collection, forty-seven diamond rings. ED WEIR - wanted to be a thirty-year man in the Army, after ten years has finally made Private First Class. Ed also wanted to play football and when the Navy heard of this, they canceled all their games with Army. NORMA KING - After winning the trip to Europe ten years ago, wool just went to her head. She now owns one of the largest wool clothing stores in America. Tom is pa- tiently waiting at home taking care of their three children. LUCY CANADAY - Lucy has made quite a climb since she graduated, she is now chief operator for the Bell Telephone Exchange in Washington, D.C. Oh, yes, boys, Lucy is still single. DUANE JOHNSTON - Who has been applying for a scholarship during his additional ten years of high school, has finally won one to Loretta Heights (a girls’ school). ROBERT ELFELDT - Our old classmate, Skip, has been elected President of the United States, his opposing candidate was accidentally shot while they were both deer hunting. The sender of the mysterious bullet has not been found yet (but we know). WARREN WHITE - Well, Scronie has finally made it. She owns the biggest casino in the State and is looking forward to the day when it will be the largest in the world. JERRY LUNDVALL - Is now making money raising four leaf clovers for die-hard Irishmen. (He still drives his four cylinder hoopie, though.) BRUCE McCONNELL - Bruce and his trusy little Plymouth have won world-wide fame lately at International Racing, but so far he has never finished a race yet. DALE, DYALL FISCHER - Dale and Dyall struck oil on their farm, so they made a very wise investment. They bought all the green cheese on the moon, now they are just try- ing to find some way to get there. FLOYD LUNKWITZ - Floyd got on TV quiz program, 'T've Got a Secret. His secret is that he doesn't like Winstons. When they threw him out the door he got a compound fracture (he hasn’t fully recovered yet). WILLIAM HASEMEYER - Good Old Bill is still single these days. OFFICERS OF THE STUDENT COUNCIL President - - - - Vice President - - Secretary -T re asurer Sponsor - - - - - - - DAVID HUGHES - LUCY CANADAY - - SHARON SADLE MR. K. W. BOWDEN Our Student Council is composed of eight members, two from each class. Some of the functions that the Student Council sponsored were as follows: They bought the Christmas Tree and decorated it for the school. They held a Christmas Party in the gym, where games were played with the remainder of the evening spent dancing. Some- time this Spring we will hold Bum Day in which all students will dress in old clothes. Then the next week we will dress up in our best suits and dresses for a day. Just before the close of school we will sponsor an All-School Dance. We certainly hope that we have helped the school to have a very successful year. 'P'UHp'UZtK The annual all-grade school music program was given in the High School Gymnasium, December 12, 1956, under the direction of Miss Beth Finecy. Every student from the kindergarten through the eighth grade participated in the program, which was centered around a Christmas theme. The high school mixed chorus then closed the evening's program with a group of carols. The program was arranged as follows: Part I Kindergarten Song - Jolly Old Saint Nicholas Part II First Grade Rhythm Band Part III The Story of the First Christmas This section of the program was a series of six tableau scenes portraying the first Christmas. The Bible story was narrated by members of the eighth grade class, and each grade sang an appropriate carol for each scene. Part IV High School Mixed Chorus “T cKden cuttcK First row: G. Crosby, C.
