The very studious Shorthand class. Taken at the Christmas party. The great American Problems class. SENIOR CLASS SKIP DAY The Senior class of 1951 had a party on May 3 and then hung our colors of Blue and White. We left Sutherland at three o’clock with our sponsor, Mr. Sjogren and his wife, Mrs. Sjogren on a chartered bus. We headed for wide open spaces, high sky- scrapers, eyes toward the mountains, in other words, Denver. When we arrived in Denver, we visited the museums. We then went out to University of Denver and tour- ed the Campus, went swimming and ice skating, and visited the cafeteria. Friday night we stayed at the Shirley Savoy Hotel and Saturday morning we got up bright and early and continued our tour around Denver. About seven o’clock Saturday evening we headed for the city of Sutherland, a tired and happy group. 11
