Whereupon the nuts started to pour in, and the fun began in earnest. Lutie Spinks, the man hating maid had a nervous habit of winking that got her into trouble with flirtatious men patients. Gertie Glossip, had a contagion- phobia and all but assphysiated everybody else with her various spraying machines. Cadwalleder Clippy, had a catphobia and was frightened nearly out of his wits by his pet cat of malicious littl Wilbur, a problem child. Prunella Figg, suffered from claustrophobia. Martha Grubb, the cook, fairly wallowed in melancholy, and Plunkett, the foxy family lawyer, developed a persecution com- plex while Henry, the darky porter, harbored a natural fear of lunatics and all their works. Even Twink Starr, Benita’s young man whose suit was tabooed by Rebecca, joined the company of nuts in disguise, parading an acute case of delusions of grandeur in hope of finding a chance to soften the hard heart of Rebecca. Hiliarious situations developed with Dr. Hippocrates Joy, a synthetic psychiatriast who undertook to cure the patients. Complications multiplied as Rebecca searched for her brother’s money. It was hidden in the house and anyone finding it could keep part of it. The people were faking their phobias and looking for the money. Its final discovery through the ingenuity of Twink Starr, forms a fitting climax for this fast moving farce of many laughs. Thanks to the hard work of Miss McConnell and Mrs. Fincey, the juniors presented a creditable performance. 16
