SENIOR AWARDS Each year recognition is given to those students in the Senior Class who have demonstrated superior academic achievement. Out of the 1970 graduating class of forty - nine; ten members completed their high school educa- tion with an average of 90 per cent or better. Three awards are given each year to certain Senior Class members. This year, Principal Leon Stanford pre- sented the Sutherland Teachers' Association Scholarship of $400 to Paula Farquhar. Sandy Nelson received the $100 local Womans' Club Scholarship. The Bar Associ- ation Citizenship Award was given to Charles Bandholz, the senior student who best exemplified those qualities of leadership and responsible citizenship. The faculty and administration of the Sutherland Community School System are proud of all these young people in the Class of 1970, tomorrow's future citizens.
