Mr. Oscar Snyder, Mr. Paul Ricker, Mr. William Wolf, and Mr. Frank Baker. Mr. Charles Miller heads the Art Department. Mathematics Mathematics is fast becoming one of the most important subjects being taught in school because it is the basis for under- standing. With the ever increasing need for engineers and scientists, a thorough knowledge of all phases of mathematics is necessary. Susquehannock prepares its students by requiring courses in elementary mathe- matics for junior high students. Senior high students are offered the higher math, including Algebra, Geometry and Trigo- nometry. Art Art is one of the oldest means of com- munication. Through it we have learned many things about our ancestors. Mr. Charles Miller, head of the Art Department, patiently instructs students in the proficiency of art. His junior high artists learn to enlarge pictures, draw likenesses of models, and paint with water colors. More advanced projects are assigned to older students. They make masks, cor- sages, and figurines. Several artists partic- ipated in poster contests and won awards.
