% Twenty-one years ago, a scholar-musician joined the faculty of Susquehanna University. Devoting his time to the betterment of the university and in par- ticular to improving the Conservatory of Music, he has established himself as a noted professor. A graduate of the Susquehanna Music Conserva- tory, he received his master of arts degree from Colum- bia Universitv and took additional graduate work at the Juilliard School of Music. While on sabbatical leave during the academic year 1966-67, he also stud- ied in London. A respected teacher, a well-liked person, and an outstanding pianist, he has given generously of his time and effort to the universitv in many areas. One of his most appreciated contributions is the personal interest he takes in each student with whom he is associated. For your achievements and your service to the uni- versity, we are proud to dedicate the 1968 Lanthorn to you, Mr. Frederic C. Billman.
