Left to Rifrlit — E. Thompson. M. Maiieval, F. roreornn. J. Reichnnl. Class of 1947 President Vice President Secretary Treasurer OFFICERS Frank Corcoran Marvin Maneval Elise Thompson John Reichard CLASS HISTORY It doesn ' t seem possible that four short years ago, we were welcomed on the campus of old S. U. by a group of upperclassmen. On that very first day, we never dreamed that we would be going to college along with cadets! How we dreaded the thought of hazing especially with the soldiers viewing all escapades with disillusion- ment reflected in their eyes. But our Sophomore year was our shining glory. We gained prestige by thor- oughly deflating the ego of the new Freshmen girls. The mention of our Sophomore Tribunal even made some of us shudder let alone the Frosh culprits. For the first time Hassinger Hall was open to women and the Cadets were taboo. Because of ar- time restrictions, we did not have the annual Sophomore Hop. Juniors this year, Selinsgrove Hall and the Cottage were opened. Yes! The men of S. U. were returning. Things around campus began to take on new light. A long dreamed of and envied status at last was ours. As Seniors our dream of what college life really should be has come true. The men ' s dorms filled to capacity, a real football team, dances, parties, and most of all being a graduation class that S. U. will miss as we will miss her. 2.3
