The journey of one thousand miles begins with a single step. This semester's Student Council has been mainly con- cerned with taking that first step. Our goal has been to unite our student body by installing in them a pride in their school and even more, a pride in themselves. However, twenty-eight stu- dents cannot unite a school, they can only lay the foundation and hope that the students will build on this foundation. The foundation has been laid---now we, the student body, must take that step not only together, but UNITED! Student Council of S'69 has inherited the tools and momentum to build from past councils' efforts. Now our task is to bring these together with the efforts of the student body to build a New Pride '69. The Build- ing has begun and can be seen in the re- sponsible attitudes of the students. Each of the twenty-seven council members pictured, has worked long and hard hours to build this pride.
