The goal of Student Council S'68 was to strive to perpetuate in every student an interest in his school and community. The council worked to represent you, the student body. Activities set up to accomplish our goal were planned and coordinated by various committees on our council. I would like to take this time to thank my council and the student body for the spirit they exhibited in upholding the activities. Your pride was displayed when you maintained continuous interest in activities as Dixieland, the clean campus campaign, and especially your interest taken in the new clubs on campus. Student Council has accomplished much more than was ex- pected of them. This is due solely to the fact that the Student Council and the student body worked together as a unit. Thanks Again, Linda Butcher Inge Refnin Liz Louie Foreign Exchange Student Student Community Treasurer 28

Girls' Personnel Board This semester has been a rather difficult one for myself and the board. We had to adjust to a new sponsor, a new time schedule, and the problem of who was leaving Dorsey to go to Crenshaw faced us. I also feel that if we had more sound communication with the girls and their support behind us, we could plan more successful activi- ties forthem. Our main projects were the Howdy Day Sportsnight and Circle activities, Homecoming Festivities and Dance, work on Dress Code Week, and tenth and eleventh grade Lets Talk ses- sions. l only hope next semester's president can fulfill the goal of the board: to help promote spirit. encourage a school unity through participation, and serve in beneficial ways, the Donnas of Dorsey High.
