This cabinef has worked indefafigably fhroughouf fhe semesfer fo help make fhe Class of S'48 fhe besf ever fo graduafe from Dorsey. They have assisfed DIARY OF A KAMEHAS SUMMER 1948 lf seems only a few weeks ago-perhaps, monfhs-buf no longer, fhaf we and our classmafes were wide-eyed freshman. Now we are donning our caps and gownsl Can anyfhing ever be so wonderful again as fhese fhree fasf fieefing years af Dorsey High? Significanfly for our class name, which means SUPREME, fhe Kamehas sfarfed off fheir A12 lerm by elecfing fhe oufsfanding officers whose picfures appear on fhis page. Silver gray fbecause we were shining examplesi, and cardinal red were fhe colors selecfed for our sweafers and Class decorafions. TWELFTH NIGHT, direcfed by Mrs. Moore, was fhe auspicious sfage producfion which our Class presenled fo fhe Dorsey Communify. This play followed OUR TOWN, in which fhe Kamehas, foo, played mosf of fhe sfellar roles. On May 13fh, lhe supreme Kamehas baffled againsf lhe valianf Gambocinos on Rancho Playground, a sfruggle, which from fhe beginning had fo resulf in a vicfory for fhe supreme ones. On June 4l'h, a Sleepy Lagoon was fhe exofic afmosphere of fhe S'48 Prom, and such a Proml Beaufiful flower decorafions, soff lighfs, sweel music, and lovely girls fhere were in profusion. Kamehas were surely in fheir gloryl On Tradifion Day, June 15fh, Senior Courf was relinquished by Bud Piper, Class Presidenf, fo lhe Seniors of W'49, fhe Gambocinos. Affer fhe presenfafion of lhe Class giff fo Bob Woods, Sfudenf Body Fresidenf, fhe Kamehas saf around fhe Breakfasf fable and laughed, as never again, over fhe Class Will and Prophesy. Through fears and smiles, fhese supreme Seniors of S'48 were graduafed wifh lhe mosf significanf of all commencemenf exercises on Thursday, June 17fh, 1948 af 4 P.M. on a perfecf, sunny California day.
