They worked wifh fhe Tri-Y's fo furnish box lunches for fhe girls fo eaf on fhe lawns and planned and sponsored fhe colorful play fhaf was presenfed. Aside from fhis fhrilling work, fhe girls fo Dorsey and counsels individuals who are finding personal adiusfmenf diffi- culf for any reason. Always fhe Girls' Personnel Board is sfriving fo encourage sincere friendship among and befvveen Dorsey girls. BOYS' PERSONNEL BOARD S'48 The Boys' Personnel Board of S'48, pre- sided over by fhe Boys' Personnel Vice- Presidenf, Tom Suzuki, fhis ferm has con- sisfed of fhree appoinfed members and presiding officer. Appoinfed members were Louie Arranaga, Vlado Skora, and James Adams: ex-ofhcio members: Bob Woods, Jerry Myers, and Bob Wade. During fhe spring semesfer fhe Boys' Prsonnel Board called in for conference, boys of all grades' who ware foo often fardy or absenf, and B10 and A70 boys whose work was seriously in need of im- provemenf. This Board also assigned ifs members fo pafrol off-grounds during noon noon hour fo check passes. Besides enforc- ing correcfive measures, fhis Board has sponsored a boys' assembly and a Swing Band program, nof fo menfion in defail fhe counfless good furns performed as a group and as individuals for fhe well- being of Dorsey High School. Each one had builf up a lang record of service during previous semesfers, and each enjoyed a wide circle of friends. Consequenfly fhe business of fhe Winfer Class of 1948 was fransacfed wifh enviable efficiency and finesse. Early in fheir lasf semesfer, fhey elecfed fhe popular officers, whose picfures appear on fhis page. Their sponsor was Mr. Fabing. This class was firsf fo achieve fhe disfincfion of presenfing fwo Senior Plays: one, Charm School, was fhe mosf enfer- laining comedy ever presenfed af Dorsey: fhe ofher, The Ad- mirable Crighfon, fhe mosf superbly sfaged play. Tradifion Day, serious and beaufilul, af which was presenfed fhe Senior Class gill a Circle bullefin board, was followed by fhe hilarious orgy known as fhe Senior Breaklasi, af which fhe Class Will and Prophesy were, proverbially, read. Then Graduafion, and fhe Class of W' 48, grown-up over nighf, fool: iis place in fhe world of sfern responsibilify, wish- ing as all ofher Dorsey Seniors have wished, fhaf fhey mighf linger on a while.
