AIDS became a dreaded dis- ease. Even Anthony students staged a protest over clothing styles. Prince Charles and Prin- cess Diana visited the USA for the first time together. Pete Rose broke Ty Cobb's re- cord with 4,191 base hits. Coke went crazy and became four kinds of Coke. Bill Cosby, Miami Vice, and Beverly Hills Cop caught everyone's attention. The old Metropolitan Stadium bit the dust and everyone went to the Dome instead. Halley's Comet sped our way all year long. It was quite a year! Below: Pete Rose in action. We Are Anthony
