This is NOT what happens to you when you get called down to Dr. Eklin. Our Best Friends in the Office: Mrs. Love, Mrs. Hayes, Mrs. Lund, Mrs. Freeberg, and Mrs. Lit- tle ADMINISTRATION, FACULTY, AND STAFF This is the year that the office got new wall- paper and chairs . . . . something different for us to stare at while we were waiting to go in. This is the year we got three detentions if we skipped. This is the year we tried not to get sent to the office .

This Is The Year 1:: xi 1 i as This is the year we say good- bye to Mrs. Jean Pollock to Mrs. Pollock who doesn't let us taste with our fingers or lick the spoon until we 're done stirring , to Mrs. Pollock who tried to make us smart about nutrition, buying, clean habits, manners, and cleaning up, when all we wanted to do was eat, to Mrs. Pollock, who doesn't sound like she' s from Minnesota, even though she' s lived here a long time be- cause she still says GREAZE and TEA TOWELS, to Mrs. Pollock, who has done her very best for us in clothing , foods, science , and English, to Mrs. Pollock who always looks, acts, and talks like a lady, to Mrs. Pollock, a nice person, and a good teacher.
