The Games . . . The games . . . the sounds of the cheerleaders and the enthusiastic response of the students. The games . . . the band marching down the football field, its notes penetrating the crisp- ness of a full night or vibrating against the walls of a noisy gym . The games . . . sihoueted figures seemingly float with the swaying movement of their pom-poms. The games . . . the deep concern and involvement on faces, the happiness, the laughter, and the feeling of being part of it all . . . the games.
