Winning is not every- thing to these students, but the mere act of com- peting means a lot. These outstanding individuals have put forth extreme ef- forts and have gained recognition not on y for themselves but also for Sunset High School. Individuals such as these help to prove to others that athletic efforts are not the only ways in which one can compete and suc- ceed. Competing on an in- dividual level takes a lot of perseverance and courage, for it is easier to fail as a team rather than on one's own. These individuals should be commended for their courage to compete, as well as their winning.
