The second one is by Samuel Johnson, 'If man does not make new acquaintances as he advances through life, he will soon find himself left alone. A man, Sir, should keep his friend- ship in constant repair! The third one is anonymous, 'Get thy spindle and distaff ready and God will send the flax. Have you ever remembered your dreams of the sea Ot pirates bad and bold, Ot fighting and racing and loving and Chasing, and hunting tor buried gold? Have you ever remembered your thoughts Of love, ot Winning your lady fair, By dashing to her on a stallion ot white Overladen with jewels rare? And when the sun shines in the East, And through your window streams, Have you ever wondered Why, oh, Why, You ever lost your dreams. Youth is the door to romance, A door that will dispose Of barren dreams forever, And, silently, softly, close. swam Q- , 3 ua.
