Delegate to the Dallas City Council The Parent-Teacher Association ot Sunset High School holds membership with The National Congress of Parents and Teachers, The Texas Congress ot Parents and Teachers, and The Dallas City Council ot Parent-Teacher Associations. The objects of this association are to promote the Welfare ot children and youth in home, school, church, and community, to raise the standard ot home liteg to secure adequate laws tor the care and protection ot youth, and to bring into close relation the home and the school so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the training ot the child and develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure the highest advantages in physical, mental, and spiritual education for every child. Secretary-Treasurer ln an effort to follow the Club's motto, Working in the interest of Sunset High School, the Dads Club has cooperated this year in every way possible with the faculty and student body to endeavor to make Sunset rank with the best high schools in America. Early in the year, the Club adopted several objectives, one of which was to up- hold a true American spirit by supporting the efforts to preserve our American insti- tutions and liberty. The Club is also adding to the Memorial Fund which will be used to erect a permanent memorial in honor of the former students of Sunset who have offered their services to their country. This year, as in the past, the Dads have given awards each semester to the most outstanding students in the various departments. They also maintain a loan fund which is available to any Sunset student who needs financial help to complete his school work. Pug Flu ll
