Secretary-Treasurer The Sunset High Dads Club is the oldest in existence at this time. The object of this club is to encourage jointly with the school officials an incentive for higher scholastic achievements, fair play in student activities, and the civic responsibili- ties of the students of 'Sunset High School-also to promote good fellowship and a loyal school spirit between the students and dads and faculty, forming friendships that will endure. Each year this club awards cash prizes to outstanding students in several school subjects. This year souvenir gold footballs were awarded each letter man on the cham- pionship football team. This year the club also elected a queen from the student body. The Coronation of the Queen proved a highlight of the Athletic Season. Page Fifteen

Delegate to the Dallas City Council The Parent-Teacher Association oi Sunset High School holds membership with The National Congress ot Parents and Teachers, The Texas Congress ot Parents and Teachers, and The Dallas City Council ot Parent-Teacher Associations. The objects of this association are to promote the Welfare ot children and youth in home, school, church, and community, to raise the standard oi home lite: to secure ade- quate laws for the care and protection of youth and to bring into close relation the home and the school so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the training of the child and develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure the highest advantages in physical, mental, and spiritual education for every child.
