Srcrotary-Treasurer The Sunset High Dads Club is the oldest in existence at this time. The object of this club is to encourage jointly with the school officials an incentive for higher scholastic achievements, fair play in student activities, and the civic responsibilities of the stu- dents of Sunset High School-also to promote good fellowship and a loyal school spirit between the students and dads and faculty, forming friendships that will endure. Each year this club awards cash prizes to outstanding students in several school subjects. This year souvenir gold footballs were awarded each letter man on the championship football team. Gold basketballs will be awarded to each letter man on the championship basketball team. Also, appropriate awards will be made for other outstanding accomplishments.

It holds membership with The National Congress of Parents and Teachers, The Texas Congress of Parents and Teachers, and The Dallas City Council of Parent- Teacher Associations. For Several years a scholarship of one hundred fifty dollars has been given to a deserving stud- cnt. An effort is made to show some recognition to all outstanding Students taking part in school activities. Meetings are held the second Friday of each school month in the auditorium at 10 A.M. All parents and teachers are urged to become members and work together to promote the welfare of youth in home, school, church, and community.
