WHITE The fourth largest Parent-Teacher Association in the State, our Own Sunset organiza- tion, has a membership of four hundred forty-seven, and twenty-three contributing Hrms. The regular meeting date is the second Friday of eac.h month in the school auditorium. The object of the Association is to create and to stimulate a bond of interest and sym- pathy between parents and teachers, to make it possible for parents to understand the school and the work, to help maintain a high moral atmosphere in the school, and to stimula,te, among the students, a desire for higher education. Both the Parent Education Study Class, conducted by Miss Evelyn Eastman, and the Home Study Course have had a splendid attendance and have contributed toward our attaining a standard of excellence. Funds with which to carry on the welfare work and adopted program were obtained through activities such as assemblies, dues, dances, game tournaments, and a carnival. It has entertained both graduating classes and in the interest of good scholarship has given an award to the student in each graduating class with the highest average for the four years. CRANNELL The Dads' Club has truly lived up to its traditional motto of being in- terested in the Sunset student body during the year of 1933-34. Among its chief objectives accomplished during this year was the crea- tion of a Student Loan Fund, from which students might borrow small sums to satisfy their worthy needs. Also, they improved the football field, planted numerous trees and shrubs, resurfaced the retaining walls, improved the streets and traffic conditions surrounding the school, and most import- ant, they upbuilt and -created a civic pride, a feeling of good fellowship, and the sincere interest on the part of the Dads in their school, its faculty, and its facilities.
