SLAUQ The Parent-Teacher Association, which is composed of two hundred and ten persons and twenty-nine contributing firms, meets the second Friday of each month in the school auditorium. The purpose of the Parent-Teacher Association is to create and stimulate a bond of interest and sympathy between parents and teachers, to make it possible for parents to understand the school and the work, to help maintain a high moral atmosphere in the school, and to stimulate among the students a desire for higher education. The Parent- Teacher Association is particularly interested in the mental, moral and physical welfare of Sunset students, Funds with which to carry on their welfare work and their set purpose have been obtained through membership fees. dances. game tournaments, assemblies, and book reviews. They have helped to further interest in good scholarship by giving twenty-five dollars to the student in each graduating class with the highest average for four years. They also presented the R. O. T. C. department with a scholarship to Camp Dallas and entertained both graduating classes. lie
