Special Assemblies Sunset students were offered a variety of entertainment within the special assembly program. Assemblies ranged from a rock group to a political figure. Senator Bob Packwood gave a speech on what he felt were the five vital aspects of leadership. In another student assembly. Secretary of State Clay Meyers discussed voting. Thanks America. featured folklore of Korea, dancing and singing. Among musical groups who entertained at Sunset this year are: the New Hope Singers and Dust. Sunset musicians. Cam Newton and Howard Friedman entertained at a senior assembly. Highlights of an original assembly run completely by computers was a power failure. Entertainment at the pep assemblies ranged from the Apollo gymnastics team performing to a faculty skit featuring Mr. Joe Simon. Apollo, who finally conquered Mount Metro.
