Welcomes Alumni 1964 Homecoming court: Eleonore Gerson, escort Gordie Gredvig; Nancy Botes, escort Terry Brush; Kathy Hopkins, escort Kelly Olson; Jane Burke, escort Tim Gleeson; Atheno II Michele Snyder, escort Jack Brown; Janet Rogers, escort Chris Jomes; Borb Reiter, escort Bob Walker; Debbie Webb, escort Roy Helterline. The traditional Homecoming festivities began with a pep assembly on October 30. Apollos anticipated the death of the Beavers as the rally solemnly carried a coffin through the gym. That evening the annual Civil War game against Beaverton was played on Sunset turf. An added attraction this year was a continuous display of fireworks supplied by the Dad's Club. Highlighting half-time entertainment, provided by the Sunflares and band, the crowning of Athena II. Although the mighty Apollos were defeated in their grid- iron encounter, their enthusiasm still flourished as they danced to the music of the Tikis and the Fabulons at the after game dance. 25 Surprised! Thrilled! Overwhelmed!
