ammarnuarna The only problem with crowded holls occurs during overlop period when all 1900 students converge in the corridors ot one time, uppcrclossmt just beginning the day. Collisions occur most frequently ot the intersection of Corridor 1 and D hall. This past year the students and faculty of Sunset High exper- ienced a new and unique sched- uling of class time, that of double shifting. Because of the lack of space it became necessary to split the regular school day into two completely different sessions. The morning session, which lasted from 7 a.m. to 12:50 p.m., was attended by sophomores, juniors and seniors. Freshmen found the school deserted as they labored in class throughout the afternoon, from 1 1 :55 a.m. to 5:35 p.m. Ice cream, cookies or other desserts arc substituted for balanced meals during snack break. 16 Underclassmen find it difficult during 15-minute snack break to eat a seven course meol and catch up on latest school gossip.
