In recent years, rallies have decreased in popularity, while activities like 50's-60's week have increased in popularity. Other traditions, such as lamboree and ASB elec- tions continue to dwindle in importance as the apathetic attitude around our school grows and grows. The student body, being composed by more and more people with after school jobs and other non-school ac- tivities, has grown apart from the school. If the traditions and activities of our school are to continue, a change will have to be made in the students' attitude toward Sun- nyvale High School. G'

The Christmas Cotillion was a Disappointment to the Sunnyvale Band, who sponsored it. The atten- dance was low due to other activities that were sched- uled that evening. No one danced until couples re- quested slower and more rhythmic music during lce- O-Matic's first break. Refreshed from their break, Ice- O-Matic changed their beat to Disco. Over-all the evening was exciting for all who attended. 1. One couple takes advantage of the refreshments, chilled champagne cider and cookies. 2. Queen Lorene Sena and escort wait impatiently for the music to play once more. 3. The three princesses lulie Haney, Tammy Fiala, Martha Smith and their es- corts. 4. David McKean poses as Bing Crosby at the Christmas Rally. 5. Dr. Bangle dressed as Santa Claus is mugged before completing his trip around the gym. 6. james Heckendorn and Mike Summerbell are into deep conversation while chaperoning the dance. 7. Rosemarie Banuelos and date dance to the music of Ice-O-Matic. 8. Couples enjoy the chance to dance to the slower music. 9. Still too shy to dance everyone waits for a slower song.
