Due Credits The jV Baseball, starting off with a 2-0 shut-out hopes to make their team number 1 this year. Coach Ron johnson says that the team is fairly new with mostly sophomore and fresh- men and a couple of juniors. Coach johnson anticipates a good season with joe Hutchins doing a super job in the out- field, Ted Patience as pitcher and Mike Daughtry on plate. Swinging Sensation The Varsity Softball Team had five returning top players from last years squad, three from last year's junior Varsity Team, and four promising first year players. The team was well represented at the plate with sluggers like Rose'NacionaIes, Sandy Reed, and Connie Thompson. The battery com- bination of jennie Rodrigues and Rose Nacionales added a great deal to the consistency and dependability of poten- tially making, this year's Sunny- vale Varsity Team successful. Coach Donna Chavez was very optimistic and supportive of all the team players as the Sabre went to press and the season was about to begin. 1.
