Thanks for the Memorues Wuth a feelung of regret we leave students and teachers we have known and learned to love Funally we are graduatung As we graduate we wull go our separate ways and as we grow older we wull cherush the memorues of our hugh school days We were FRESHMEN at Fremont We went to the Frosh Jolly Up where we had a wonderful tume Our class olticers were a combunatuon of students from Sunnyvale and Cupertuno The Frosh Assembly Heaven was acclaumed a huge success It was saud 'Thus class wull go far AND IT DID' In our SOPHOMORE year we chose the first student body ofhcers cheerleaders and song gurl of Sunnyvale Hugh School There were two separate schools on the Fremont campus at the first part of the year but un February 1955 we moved to our new campus Wuth only two classes of unexperuenced lowerclassmen we struggled together to buuld a new school We wrote the school constututuon our fight song and started many fine tradutuons Our class sponsored a Sophomore Hop and put on a terrufic assembly called Smokey .loes Cafe We also presented a Chrustmas cantata whuch has become a tradutuon As mughty JUNIORS we celebrated the first burthday of Sunnyvale Hugh School Our school was now a year old and already developung unto a fine school one to be proud of Burnt Toast of the Town was the name of our Junuor Assembly The Junuor Dance was called Sprungtume un Jamauca Dear Ruth the Junuor Play was the first dra matuc three act play that we presented Sunnyvale Hugh for the first tume un our dustruct presented a musucal comedy It was entutled Seventeen Beung very ambutuous we had a magazune druve to rause money for the student body fund Durung basketball season we entered the SCVAL competung wuth four year hugh schools for the first tume As part of the luttle bug league we held a tournament un our gym where we competed wuth Camden and Los Altos who were two other three year schools We are now SENIORS Four years of fun and hard work have drawn to a close Deserted corrudors and vacant lockers sulently remund us of some of the best years of our luves These four years have gone by all too fast We realuze that we wull never be able to re luve these happy years Fundung ourselves wuth the tutle of Superuor Senuors we took charge of great respon subulutues An actuve partucupatuon un school actuvutues was an outstandung character ustuc of our class As a four year school our teams entered the SCVAL Although we dudnt wun all of our games we receuved much needed experuence un both playung the game and un sportsmanshup We started the Senuor Councul to help our class and to organuze our actuvutues We sold statuonery and Chrustmas trees as moneymakung prouects A second musucal comedy Good News was very successfully guven We wull always remember the fun we had on Senuor Nught where we gave skuts about all the teachers ln our Senuor Assembly Thanks for the Memorues tears came to our eyes as we sang Thanks for the memorues The teachers that we had We really made em mad But when we graduate They re goung to be so sad We thank you so much Thanks for the memorues The football games were fun There were some we even won We rooted and we cheered We never ever feared We thank you so much Thanks for the memorues Of song gurls at each game Of cheerleaders at the same Of drull team of band Of Jetro he s our man We thank you so much Thanks for the memorues Our freshman year was a blast Our sophomore year a smash Our lunuor year Our senuor year And here we are at last We thank you so much O . . , 11 11 . - , - 11 11 - - ' 1 1 - 1 1 - - 11 1 1 1 1 1 ' 1 ' 1 1 ' ' ' 11 11 - 11 1 11 ' - ' 1 1 11 11 - - 11 - - - - 11 11 11 - - 1 1 - 1 1 . . ,, ,, . . . . . , , . ,, . . ,, . . 1 . . . . . ,, . . ,, 1 . , . . . . . 1 - 11 11 - ' 1 1 - 11 , . 11 - ' 11 . 11 l 1 1 ' I I 1 I 1 1 1 - , .
