The class of '58 shall always be close to me. Our ex- periences in pioneering the senior year were re- warding in this very first year at Sunnyvale High School. Now a new challenge is before you, wherein you may write a book of a glorious future, regardless of the path you take in life. lf you are honest with your- self and have a real desire to give more than you receive, you will some day in the sunset of life re- view the pages and be unashamed. To the student body I would say, This has been a very successful and rewarding year, this our first as a four year high school. This has been made possi- ble by a wonderful staff, eager students, and ade- quate facilities. To the seniors who have given us much of our tradi- tion, l would charge, To have a purpose in life, and having it, throw into your work such strength of mind and muscle as have been given you. We have had a great year, all of us - rallies, foot- ball and basketball games, class assemblies, the many successful dances, and brunch time with those tempting doughnuts hurriedly eaten as the third period bell rings. Yes, it has been a great year, and I shall always re- member it, But most important of all is that you will never forget it, you the first graduating class of Sunnyvale High School. Richard K.
