The Grizzly Council, under the chairmanship of the A.S.B. vice president, serves to coordinate activities aimed at building school spirit in support of athletic events. Membership is open to the representatives ot the Rally Squad, GirIs'Pep Club, Boys' Pep Club, Grizzly Boosters, Pep Band, Girls' Letter Club, Lettermen's Club, and to the advisors of these organizations. Participation is voluntary. The actions to encourage attendance at spring sports events was initiated by the Grizzly Council. Ancl Officers Executive Council The Executive Council is the main legislative organization 'A of the student body. lt con- sists of the A.S.B. Officers plus the presidents of each class. Mr. Linehan, High School Principal, serves as the counciI's advisor. This year the council has handled the supervision of the school's clean-up day, approved the rally squad uniforms, and provided a scholarship for a deserving member. The Ex- ecutive Council works with the Student Council to act as a sounding board for student requests and opinions. By this means a system of com- munication has been set up between the faculty and the student body. dvisor-Mr. Linehan, Denny Melson, Tony Marquez, Julie Schilperoort, Casey Beard, Yvonne Honey, Jerry ecker, Norm Galey, David Lindsey. The Student Council, under the chairrranship of Jerry Scott, has pro- vided a body of student government consisting of the vice presidents of each homeroom. The office of Student Council Chairman is an A.S.B. elected office and is one of maior importance. This council initiates the business of the indi- vidual inthe homeroom. ln the homeroom, student and ex- ecutive council cycle, the Student Council is the second half of the bi-cameral system of student govern- ment in our school. This system is unique and has been studied by various interested schools. A.S.B.
