The students are ranked scholastically with their academic prowess determining their position. This year the grade point averages of the Top Twelve ranged from 3.95 to 3.6. This range speaks well ot the students' ability to handle the curriculum required to obtain a diploma from our school. Potter 2 Grizzlies Win league Championship ln the last two decades the Grizzlies have never fielded a better team than this year. With a 9 win l loss record the superbly coached Grizzlies showed, to the surprise of many fans, that they were the best team in the Lower Valley. Although it was not an undefeated season, the team accumulated more points and gave up less points than any team in the league . Total team effort and enthusiasm were responsible for the good showing. Coach Potter and his assistants, Mr. Senn and Mr. Busby deserve a well-done from team and fans alike. Mr. Potter kept the offensive team at peak performance, and the defensive team alive with the deter- mination that they were not going to let the opposing team score. Mr Senn worked with the offensive and defensive linemen and gave advice from his many years of past experience . Mr. Busby kept morale very high with his colorful and sometimes exuberant actions. The team was made up of ten returning lettermen, a few new senior recruits, eleven juniors, and three sophomores. They comprised the largest and one ofthe most rugged teams in the valley. Credit for keeping track of equipment and supplies is due to the man- agers, who took their share of abuse, but were happy to be a part ol this winning team .
