Four boys were on the First string football, basketball and baseball teams. 5 A'class high-light was the play Footloose, by Charles Burdette. The production stall was en- tirely made up ol Juniors. The group had a rolliclcing good time as their class party, February 23, with games, plays, dancing, and refreshments. Three members distinguished themselves by winning school letters in football, and one member in b'asl4etball. Following that, this group has developed into an up-and-coming class, due to their worthy advisor, Miss Kildow, and their class oilicers: President, Don Smith, Vice president, Jo Ann Flagel, Secretary, J. C. Massey, Treasurer, Barbara Barnes, and Sergeant-at-Arms, George Goetz. Since the lreshman's rights were a little unestablished, the class as a whole decided to organize a group lcnown as the Frosh Senate to talre care ol that. Several activities were held throughout the school year, but the three most outstandingol these were the basketball games, lrosh party, and a class play, HYouth Adds a Dash ol Pepper. .ik yy 5 .E .L ,Ak f is ' . . With the peppy leadership of the four yell leaders, who lor the First time in the history ol this school were all girls, Sunnyside showed commendable enthusiasm and good sportsmanship. Many times these girls put up just about as much fight as the team, it that were possible. The students ol Sunnyside High School are both proud and happy to claim their cheer leaders who helped keep up the school's morale, Mae, Cush, Jean, Myra, and of course the swell fellows who made it possible to have such a splendid all around sports record forthe year.
