The new comers were: Henry Rose who came here frmm New Albany, Indiana, Elmer Schaefer who missed the last part of the Junior year last year due to illness, and LaVerne Schuck who came here from Norwood, Ohio. Our class officers for this year were: Earl Zimmerman, Presidentg Joseph Fritch, Vice-presidentg Marie Bel- camlno, Secretary-treasurer. We had Mr. Krampe for our sponsor teacher. On December 18, 1947 the class presented uFor Pete's Sakesn. The Junior Senior Reception was held on April 26, 1947 at the School Gym. We also enjoyed two class parties this year. This year we found that we had twenty students enrolled. I, Earl Zimeman do will my sayings and actions that go along llth them - Omer Dennl and my carefree ways to Robert llosmeier CLASS PROPHECY It is new 1968 and we are returning to pay tribute to the Seniors who gradma ted in 1948 Just listen to the progress Here ve go on a tour by an atomic powered plane to visit our old friends of '48 Yes we tad quite a Senior Classl. le were flying over Sunmn and just sighted a lovely white house on the out skirts of town Stopping here we find Viola and Jim Gindllrg busily engaged ln their printing office ard Viola finds lr Kohlernan's advice in shorttnnd comes in handy Journeylng to Penntown we fini Betty ard Bob losmeier living on the Hosmeier farm and Bob has found out that Betty is quite a help Flying further on we fini lary Alice Gunter preparing for her wedding to Ervin Spreckleson, a graduate of '47 Now to Lawrenceville where we find Howard keeping Bachelors' Hall still seeking a wife Flying on again a few more miles to Cincinnati we visited Anna llae in her little tea room and rumors are flying tint she will be nnrried soon While in this city we also visit Evelyn Huber, who is a secretary in Kahn's Co Going several miles farther we find Laverne married to Lefty ani living ln a very nice apartm nt in downtown Hamilton Next we fly to Chicago where Colburn Burns is progressing as an Atheltic Director As we enter the campus at Chicago University we fini Kendall ard llarie strolling down the walk Marie is still tryirg to persuade Kendall to marry her and move to a cottage on the Great Lakes Flying on to Canada we find Viola Neukam starring in the great Olympics Champion ship for ice skaters, while Carl is still in Sunman waiting far her return From Camda we fly to New York where we obtain tickets to see the boxing bout i between Donald Schwing ard Joe Louis, Jr Going on to Vermont we firxl Joe Prltsch makirg great progress on his sxgar plan tation Joe is finally goirg sweet on the girls due to his sugar plantation 3 In New Jersey we fird Earl Zimmerman in his newspaper office as editor of the New Jersey Tribune Yes, he has a mustache tool After Iandirg in Virginia we are not at all surprised to fini Doris and Glenn Roepke living near the Norfolk Naval Base Glenn is still serving in the Navy laklng a cross country flight we com to Nebraska where we find that Alvin has finally settled down to a wife and family ard is busy teaching his boys hcl to play basketball We stop at Colorado for a few hours to visit Eugene ard Charlene Hill, who are living tmppily on their ranch among the little hills Now we are going to California fcr a short visit Here is Junior Freyer living f I on a fruit farm, raising peaches but not the Georgia kin! Then flylrg to Hollywood to visit the movie stars we find John Tangman taking er r Frank Sinatra's place as a crooner Flash! We just rnard that John is going to marry a famous movie star Now to South America our last stop, where we firrl Elmer Schaefer living on a big ranch Yes, Elmer ani Charlene 'leiler rave finally settled down to matrimony Now back to Sunman where we will tell our friends of our surprising jourrny and how we found thaSen1ors of '48 ruff!
